On October 1, 2017, an active shooting took place near the Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort complex and Casino just before 12:00 a.m. local time.
The shooting came from a sole shooter on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay and occurred during the Route 91 Harvest Country Music festival where one or two suspects shot at the crowd from a vantage point.
More than 250 people were shot and taken to the ER of several nearby hospitals – one of them were are at capacity and being transferred to other nearby hospitals.
According to latest count – 50 people were killed and 200 seriously injured.
The shooter is identified as Stephen Paddock, a resident of Mesquite, Nevada. Police also believe that his partner Marilou Danley, may also be involved.
