According to SP Daniel Ndukwe, operatives recovered two firearms, seven live rounds of ammunition, a stolen motorcycle, and other incriminating exhibits during the operations.

On August 13, 2025, at around 10:30 p.m., officers from the Crack Tactical Squad arrested 27-year-old Tochukwu Edeh in Abakpa while riding a black motorcycle and acting suspiciously.
A locally fabricated pistol loaded with seven rounds of 9mm ammunition was recovered from a black bag in his possession.

In a separate operation on August 10, the Anti-Cultism Squad, acting on confessions from two suspects already in custody, arrested three additional men—Odoh Friday (24), Okamkpa Onyeka Chukwu (22), and Uzor Okwudili (23)—all of whom admitted membership in the Black Axe confraternity.
Items recovered included a locally-made pistol, one expended cartridge, three blue candle sticks, and suspected cannabis.
Earlier, on August 9, operatives from the Oji-River Police Division arrested two men, Kosi Ani (22) and Ahmed Ibrahim (29), attempting to sell a snatched Topway motorcycle.
Investigations revealed they had robbed a commercial motorcyclist of the bike the previous evening.
